I guess there is no real way to tell. But the fact that you purchased the bag in Chinatown for only $50 is not a very good sign--especially if it is a large bag. Large Coach bags run for $100+ retail. Unless you bought the bag in a sterile white store and the cashier was dressed all in black with a white shirt underneath some black sweater, the odds are that you (like me) have purchased a fake bag.
